About Krystle :
I'm just a beautiful black queen trying to figure out this thing called life. I have a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle because as someone who has struggled with her weight since childhood I know the importance now of eating clean and getting daily physical activity. I love seafood and shopping and getting dressed up pretty.
What motivates you to work out and live a healthy lifestyle?
I have to motivate myself everyday to live a healthy lifestyle because I suffer from a binge eating disorder as well as anxiety. If I dont workout and eat right those disorders will get out of control so literally everyday I must fight to stay healthy and encourage others to do the same.
What does your workout routine look like?
I workout at least 5 days a week but sometimes I can be motivated to workout for 7. I strength train and do HIIT cardio to lower my body Fat while keeping my curves.
What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?
I drink plenty of protein shakes and eat chicken breast, shrimp, salmon or swai and turkey burgers throughout the week. I'm also a big fan of Greek yogurt, almond milk, high fiber oatmeal, blackberries, green veggies, green smoothies and egg white scrambled.
How do you maintain your hair while working out?
I keep my hair in protective styles year round because I work out so intense that I can not maintain my natural hair. Natural hair is beautiful for all my sistas that can maintain it but it's a struggle for me so I wear alot of weaves, braids and sometimes just a beanie.
What's in your gym bag?
In my gym bag I have bottles of water, money in case I need a protein bar, gloves, my jump rope, my neck protector for the squat rack, my 20 pound weighted vest, and my headphones.
What might we catch you doing outside the gym?
Outside the gym you can catch me eating seafood, shopping, hanging out with friends and mostly being a homebody lol.
What are your best 3 health tips people can implement right now?
1. Exercise everyday for at least 30-45 minutes to maintain your sanity and emotional health. 2. Eat foods that can boost your immune system in this season where illness has plagued us. 3. Do something everyday that motivates you and uplifts your spirit whether that's going for a brisk walk, painting, reading a book, calling a long distance friend, learning to cook a new recipe or doing something nice for someone you love.
