Quick Stats:

Location: UK (Manchester)
Age, 40
Height : 5ft 1ins

What motivates you to work out and live a healthy lifestyle?
Initially I started training for fat loss as I had abdominal surgery and was home bound for months. Being inactive led to significant weight gain. Once my body was ready I started training and began seeing good results. After seeing my body change shape and become much leaner and my strength increased it became an addiction.
What does your workout routine look like?
I attend small group PT sessions 3 x per week at the lean body project gym which is predominantly weights based and hiit classes. I also train at another gym on a further 2 days which will be on focusing on legs or upper body.
What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?
My daily diet is high in protein. I eat 5 meals per day which is protein based. I make sure I prep every Sunday and Wednesdays. A typical day could be a tuna omelet with protein shake, protein pancakes with blueberries, baked chicken with broccoli, roasted vegs and sweet potatoes, salmon with veg.
How do you maintain your hair while working out?
Pony tail or headscarf
What’s in your gym bag?
Towel, gloves, deodorant, water bottle and of course lip gloss
What might we catch you doing outside the gym?
Spending time with family, prepping session for the next day. Also catching up on box sets e.g. suits season 3.
Give your best 3 health tips that people can implement right now?
Tip 1. Track your calories using an app such as fitness pal. Helps to see if you need to tweak your food to get better results especially if you have plateaued.
Tip 2. Surround yourself with a supportive network who understand your journey and goals for support and motivation
Tip3. Consistency is key. A chocolate isn't going to ruin your diet if you're training hard. It's all about moderation
