A Little About Kisha:

I am a 43 year old mother, wife, nurse and all things health and wellness enthusiast. I’ve been a registered nurse for 20 years this year. Personal trainer since 2016.

What motivates you to workout and live a healthy lifestyle?

Dance was my first love with physical fitness as a child. I quickly understood how physical activity helped with stress and difficult situations. It became and remains my go to. Since, I have not met an exercise program or physical activity that I wouldn’t try. I am motivated by the balance in health that exercise offers. Physical, mental and spiritual wellness.

What does your workout routine look like?

Deep breathing and stretching every morning is my only constant. Variety is important to me. Physical activity is necessary everyday. It may be a run outside, a hiit workout, a flow class or yoga in the park. A bike ride, a swim. Dancing while cleaning. As long as I break a sweat, heart rate up for an hour or so is the goal.

What do you eat in a typical day to stay in shape?

80% veggies and whole grains 3 liters of water

How do you maintain your hair while working out?

Whewwwwww chile 😩

What's in your gym bag?

Face care products, hair ties, extra set of clothes, sports bra, probably a banana and an orange, an empty water bottle

What are your 3 best health tips people can implement right now?

Spend time stretching and deep breathing each day. It’s so very easy to skip when wanting to fit in a workout. That times doubles as meditation practice. It was the biggest game changer for me
